Prerequisites and co-requisites: Knowledge of the Linux operating system and its console interface is expected. An acquaintance should have basic knowledge of the process of sequencing with next generation sequencing devices and basic work with biological databases. It is recommended to complete Linux and basic bioinformatics tools.
Course Information: Genome compilation from NGS reading, mapping, homologous sequence search, gene identification and annotation, RNA-Seq differential analysis, microbiome composition, quality control, and interpretation of outputs.
Acquired knowledge: Knowledge to appropriately superimpose the experiment according to the required analysis. Ability to select and use adequate bioinformatics tools for the required analysis. Controlling the individual steps of analysis, identifying and solving problems related to the incompleteness of laboratory processing.
