Prerequisites and requisites: Mathematics is expected to be on high school knowledge level and work with excel at a slightly advanced level. Knowledge of the programming language is not necessary. It is recommended to complete Basic statistical data evaluation course.
Course Information: Random variable, discrete and continuous probability distributions, their importance and usage in common practice. Hypotheses testing, statistical evaluation of one-dimensional data, comparison of two different data sets, correct choice of statistical tests, interpretation of results and their relation to hypotheses.
Determination of trend and linear data dependence using simple linear regression and their graphical interpretation. Practical use of linear regression parameters in common tasks.
Acquired knowledge: Independent statistical evaluation of the data, proper choice of a suitable statistical test, linear regression usage and interpretation.
